Marbled bliss

Ok, so you know how I flip out over marbled anything? Including those newish Derian plates for Astier de Villatte, marbleized balloons, Kelly Wearstler for Sferra Quartz pillow, framed marbled paper art (which thanks to LGN) I totally copied for Isabel’s room and it looks great, and more and more?

Well yesterday you could probably hear my squeals of delight and amazement all the way from Chamblee, Georgia. I walked into Antique Factory { home to MINTY } and there it was. A set of 6 chrome dining chairs upholstered in handprinted marbled fabric.

Antique — yet perfect condition. And the fabric colorway looks spot-on current. I love the silver fabric pigments used in the pattern. It dances off the other swirls. Whoa. And when that organic loosey goosey swirly fabric is combined with the chrome structure of the chairs, it’s just magic.

Oh I seeing your eyeballs crossing about now because they landed right on that authentic Pierre Cardin chrome and smoked glass table. Oh yes. Those delicious marbleized chairs and tucked neatly around an even tastier table. A perfect Cardin specimen. Signed. And the table even expands. The top opens to reveal a hidden pop-up leaf. Could it be any better?

There’s an identical table on 1st dibs. at the “reduced price” of $7,900 for the table alone. At $3,500 the Antique Factory price is more than half that of dibster — and includes the set of 6 chairs. Too pricey for me { dammit! } but a great value as a statement-making piece to last a lifetime.

If you’re interested in the chair set and table, call Peter at Antique Factory:  770 455 7570. { Peter will sell table separately and reprice accordingly. } And if you buy them, could I please please come visit often?

hahaaa, you should check out my post today!

I would give a kidney for that set. Pretty sure I don't need the extra.
