Fall Colors

The last couple of days have been glorious here in Atlanta. Bright blue sky and leaves in full color. It’s my favorite time of year. Somehow I stumbled upon this leaf photo which { as a graphic designer who relies on Pantone colors } made me smile.

From Wikipedia

Then { as a graphic designer who would rather be an interior designer } it naturally got me thinking about fall colors in interiors. Not the somber olives and Colonial golds of my mother’s autumn-toned den. The individual colors haven't changed, but these color combinations are fresher and cleaner. Or more saturated and dramatic.

You have a way with words -- "saturated and dramatic."
The colors in the photos do seem to sink into the room, rather
than just occupy space. And susieq, love the wreath!!

What a lovely post! Such an amazing color palette And my vote is that you switch from graphic to interior design!

Love your post. Just sent a link to my three daughters. "Saturated and dramatic" says it all.
Thanks for the injection of fall energy.

We spent the afternoon in Helen yesterday. It was absolutely saturated and dramatic. I love that leaf image.
