Aaron Hom

It was the fresh, crisp Craftsman from the October 2009 House Beautiful — and featured on eye spy yesterday — that prompted me to track down its stylist/designer home-owner Aaron Hom. What a talented artist. Notice how seemingly effortlessly accessories are clustered. And Hom is technically skilled. In his home, he used two slightly different values of white to raise ceiling height — darker on the bottom third of the wall, lighter on the top two-thirds. Another visual trick is repetition of shapes. Tulip legs and orbs are repeated throughout his house providing a common thread throughout. I had trouble finding more information about Hom. However, his portfolio speaks volumes. Enjoy!

Now you know I love a good mix of periods and styles. How satisfying.

God bless him - not a single pair of artfully discarded shoes in sight.

Wow- beautiful! Love how the rooms/sets run the gamut of styles..

He's got some serious talent in styling beautiful, eye-catching vignettes! And did you notice the amazing door in the last shot...I want to see more!
