City chairs pair with country table, live happily ever after

It’s true — opposites attract. Vintage classics, mid-century modern, high 70s, Italian contemporary? Chrome, leather, injection-molded plastic, lucite? Oh yeah. All look spectacular when paired with a farm table. Here’s the proof:

I heartily agree - I paired IKEA's Tobias chair with a farmhouse table. I really do need to post pictures, but I'm trying to find a fab rug to go under.

i think there's grounds for some divorces there. some tables deserve better. where those cool roman chairs?

Oh I so agree! And what fantastic examples.

What fun--love the mix. Adore the white chairs with the trestle table. I do have memories though of feeling like I was going to slide right out of the molded chairs. I'm fascinated with the black and white ones and always a sucker for any chair that swivels!

You're absolutely right. Works like a charm, every single time. It's like a magical formula. That image with the black tile floor rocks me to my core and the pups, well, they just make me grin from ear to ear!

Love the dog on the table!

You know I have mad love for these pairings! I finally got a new table, but now I want more chairs... Someday I'll be able to unveil the reworked dining room.
