Color me dark and moody with a few exuberant outbursts

After a summer of white walls, white ceilings, white floors, my eye is drawn to rooms drenched in saturated color. My color reference folder is filling with Abigail Ahern’s deliciously deep-toned rooms. And blogger Anna Beth Chao’s sultry murky-green bedroom. And lots and lots of charcoal — which is a great companion for almost any hue. What colors are inspiring you?

Wow you've amassed quite a collection here! I loved the first image and the ninth... and then they just kept going! I think the darker walls add a lot of glamour...loving it!

I'm feeling your darker, deeper vibe as well blog buddy. And I'm always up for a burst of color. By the way- the title, just awesome!

That peacock-colored stairwell (about halfway down) has me thinking.

We have a narrow hall off the family room which needs a punch of color. I just wasn't sure which way to go. Maybe I've found the answer...

The colors are gorgeous, the rooms glamorous. But the
dark charcoal walls make me want to have a good, long cry!

I am really drawn to the slate gray room with the lavender-ish chairs. Great collection you've come up with ... also love the desk with the antique dolls and the fuschia chair with the fuschia orchid. Lovely!

So much goodness in one post! A very excellent roundup, Miss Susie. And those glossy walls!

Le sigh. Expect to see some of these pictures again... :)
